King James, a tyrant?

I would like to ask you if you have some information that I can give to some people on a blog that I'm on which encourages open discussion of God and salvation.  They are against the KJB because they claim that King James was an evil tyrant.  I'm not that knowledgeable on King James history to confirm or refute these statements, but I do know that the KJB is the one that the Holy Spirit has approved unto me.  Do you have any suggestions on where to start with these people's questions or concerns about the KJB?

What I am going to answer you with is what the word of God has to say about his word and those who attack it! So make sure that you read these verses and trust them.

First of all, people who attack the bible—and specifically the KJB—do it because they have hard hearts toward God! They have not studied the issue out with an open and pure heart, but a heart which a bias against God!

The KJB is God's word, perfectly preserved, for those of us who speak English. It has proven itself over and over throughout the centuries and It will continue to do so.

Psalm 12:6-7
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

All the other so-called English versions have errors in them, and they all do what Psalm 62 says...

Psalm 62:4
They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

God has promised to preserve his perfect word for every generation of humanity, so if it is not in the KJB for us who speak English! Where is it!

If he preserves it for us and desires that we live by it, then isn't it reasonable for us to trust him to give it to us to have?!

Matthew 4:3-4
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

So if God tells us that he will give us his perfect word to live by, and we believe him, then that means that we can have it (and we do have it, in the KJB!

As far as their claim that King James was a tyrant, who cares! First of all, anybody can be painted by anybody else as an evil doer, even if they are not. People even accused our Lord Jesus of being evil and he was perfect!

Luke 7:37
The son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

Matthew 27:63
Saying, sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, after three days I will rise again.

So if people can accuse the Lord Jesus Christ himself of being evil, then any one of us humans can be railed against also.

But King James was not a tyrant.  Check out this website: His Majesty, King James and share it with anyone else who wants to study it out for themselves.

But even if King James was a tyrant, what in the world does that have to do with whether God used him for his purposes or not! All throughout scriptures, God used tyrants to do his will! Men like King Nebuchadnezzar, Alexander the great, Darius the Mede and other gentile heathens to punish Israel!

Jeremiah 27:6
And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

In fact, God will use the greatest tyrant of all history in the future, the Antichrist to do his will to destroy Israel.

Isaiah 10:5
O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

So God does not care about the man, because the issue is NOT mankind, it's God!

1 Thessalonians 2:13
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

Lastly, you asked my advice, so I will give it. In my opinion, you should not read (or listen) to such garbage and non-sense when it comes to those who oppose God's word...it's not good for you!

Romans  16:17-18
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned ; and avoid them.  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

God never called us to try to convince atheists, agnostics and other unbelievers because that is not our job, but his!

The Holy Spirit and God’s word are the ones who convince men…our job is to simply believe it ourselves and give it out to others faithfully!

God’s word is a sword and it will cut whether they believe it or not!

Hebrews 4:12-13
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

We can choose to graciously share his word with others, but if after a couple of times they persist in their unbelief, then leave them be!

Titus 3:10-11
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject ; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

So in my estimation you need to stop putting that harmful stuff in your spirit and simply continue to put in the purity of God's word, that and that only will give you peace!

Philippians 4:8-9
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

So now you have this email to use (or forward) to those who have their doubts.

Hopefully this helps...Maranatha!
