Election Defined

"Election isn't about being saved or lost.  We are the servants of God.  We are chosen as [the church,] the body of Christ, to serve Him."   ~Bro Ron Knight

This Meaty Morsel is an excerpt from a message given by Bro Ron Knight at Norcal Grace.  The full message, "Welcome to Thessalonica" can be accessed here:

Something to consider...
There are four 'elects' in the Bible.  They all, except one, have to do with a corporate entity, made up of individuals.  Biblical election has to do with being of service to God, not salvation.  These four elects of God for service are, the elect...

1.   Messiah (God's Servant, Christ Jesus)

Isaiah 42:1
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

2. True Israel (made up of the little flock/believing remnant)

Isaiah 45:4
For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

Isaiah 65:8-9
Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all. And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

Romans 11:28
As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.

3. Body of Christ (made up of those members in him)

2 Timothy 2:10
Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Colossians 3:12
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Romans 8:33
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Titus 1:1
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

4. Angels (as opposed to the fallen angels)

1 Timothy 5:21
I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

Are you sure you are sure? ...for sure??

There is only one way to know for sure, by faith you have to trust the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and what he did at Calvary…and that alone.  If you do that, he will save you at that moment.  But then, there is a life to be lived…

Galatians 2:20 KJB
I am CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and THE LIFE WHICH I NOW LIVE in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

And you can only live that sanctified life by rightly dividing God’s word.  If you are over in the gospels, you are undermining your edification.   If you are over in the Hebrew epistles (Hebrews thru Revelation) and not rightly dividing those epistles with what Paul has to say, you are undermining your own understanding.”

1 Timothy 2:3-4 KJB
…God, Who will have all men to be saved, AND to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Unto the Jews, I became a Jew

Baptism in religion today is tantamount to circumcision in the Jew's religion in time past.

Whether now or then, both are acts of legalism. Back then a Jew was required by law to perform such an act. But, today, in the dispensation of grace we are NOT under law to perform, nor should we!

Since Paul is the apostle to the gentiles (nations), it is often asked (and required) in Christendom...

Why did Paul circumcise Timothy?
...behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him... [Acts 16:1-3 KJB]

Why did Paul baptize?
And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: [1 Corinthians 1:16 KJB]

Is this a dilemma for the Christian? No, not at all! When we rightly divide the scriptures and consider (not reject nor resist) and receive what Paul tells us, confusion is dispelled completely.

Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. [2 Timothy 2:7 KJB]

A Mid-Acts Pauline dispensational bible study of the book of Colossians

Saturday, July 11, 2015

"We've got mail!"

The Pauline epistles (letters written from one in authority) are written exclusively to us, exclusively for us, and exclusively about us (Jews and Gentiles, alike) in this dispensation of the grace of given to Paul, our apostle.  It is to our benefit and profit to read them, and take heed.

Ephesians 3:1-5
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,  If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:  How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,  Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)  Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

Romans 16:25-25
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Little things make [all] the difference!

Little things do make a difference, and this is just one of them that can be utilized to the bible-believer's PROFIT.

~All scripture [every word, every jot, every tittle!] is given by inspiration of God, and is PROFITable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   [2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJB, emphasis added]

This is the beauty, simplicity, and excellent consistency God has integrated into his pure word of truth to aid the believer's study and understanding.

This built-in study aide is not carried over in the corrupted modern versions...which is a testimony in itself to the very excellency of his perfectly preserved word, the King James Bible.  (Try your own search using your favorite modern version.)

Click here to find and see for yourself ~1,000+ instances where the word "specifically" can be substituted for the word "even," thus giving the reader the precise meaning and understanding of what the verse is specifically saying...from God's perspective, not man's!

In the message, Bro Ron briefly mentions the controversy regarding Romans 8:17 (KJB).  An in depth study on "Heirs of God or Joint-Heirs With Christ" is available for download.  Click here.

~And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Dealing with Foolish andUnlearned Questions

"Foolish people aren’t really looking to see what God says about it."

"Unlearned people ask a question about scripture but without understanding of scripture rightly divided so as to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

Hopefully this helps!
