Sabbath and the New Covenant

Are all Christians  under the new covenant  to follow the Sabbath command and was the Sabbath observed  before  Moses by  the gentiles?

The bible never says that Christians today are under the "new covenant," because Christians today—those who have trusted and saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ—are saved by God's Pure Grace, and that alone!

Romans 3:24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

ALL the covenants in scripture are for the Nation of Israel only!

Jeremiah 31:31
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Romans 9:4; 11:26-27
Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:  For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

So members of the church, the Body of Christ are not under the New Covenant.  God made it to and for Israel only!

As for your question about the Sabbath, the Sabbath also is not for us living today in the Mystery dispensation of Grace, it is only for Israel and will be re-establish by God for them in the future!

Exodus 31:16-17
Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

God gave it to Israel only! And God tells us today through our Apostle Paul that we do not need to observe Israel's Sabbath!

Colossians 2:16-17
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Those of us in Christ today do not need any of these things from Israel's Law program in order to be complete! As you just read, Paul our Apostle says that all those things...even the Sabbath are just a shadow of the true, and we have the true...the Lord Jesus Christ! So we are not required to keep any Sabbath or any other ordinance of the Law.

Regarding your question as to whether or not the Sabbath was observed before Moses by Gentiles, no, there is no evidence in scripture of that!

Hopefully this helps...Maranatha!
