The Lord's Supper

I was wondering your take on the Lord's Supper? Should we be taking it in this dispensation? Is it for the body of Christ

The Lord's Supper is something that our Apostle Paul instructs us to do until the Lord Jesus Christ returns for us.

1 Corinthians 11:26
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

I did an entire study on this very topic and you can listen to it at this website. What we learn is that it is not a little wafer and a sip of wine or juice as Roman Catholicism, Lutheranism, or even other so called Christian denominations do it. When you actually read and study the passage that our Apostle writes in 1 Corinthians 11, you will see that it was an entire meal with food and drink (they used wine, meat and bread). Some of the people were getting drunk, others were overeating leaving others without food and wine to drink.

1 Corinthians 11:21
For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

In the bible, to have communion, or to sit down to eat, meant that you have something in common, and are one in Christ. So yes, we believe that it is something that we members of the Church the Body of Christ should observe today in the dispensation of Grace. We here at Twin Cities Grace Fellowship observe it on the first Sunday of each month. We have a meal of food and drink and celebrate what our Lord Jesus accomplished for us on Calvary's Cross and our oneness in Him.

Hopefully this helps...Maranatha!
