Satan's battle...

Is Satan fighting two wars?

It is my understanding from scriptures that Satan is not presently fighting two wars, but one!

Satan did fight against Israel and God's program (which was solely to and about them) in times past before God changed the program. Satan worked hard to get Israel to reject God's Son—their Messiah—the Lord Jesus Christ (by using their own unbelief and self-righteousness against them), which they did at Calvary and in the early chapters of the book of Acts (chapters 1-7)!

But once God changed the program in Acts 7-9, and began dealing not with the nation of Israel, but with the gentile nations, Satan too changed His strategy. No longer did Satan have to fight God's earthly kingdom program to/for that nation.  But, because God set Israel aside temporarily to operate the current program of gentile grace, Satan is now working to keep people from believing this message.

Look what happened after the Apostle Paul was saved in Acts 9, and God changed the program. Satan also knew that God's dealing with Israel changed, so he also changed his strategy and went, not after the Israeli kingdom church, but after Paul and members of the new church, the body of Christ...

And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him…Then had the churches [the kingdom churches] rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

The Apostle Paul says that Satan's goal is the exact opposite of God's.  God's will is that all men be saved and come unto a knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:4
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Therefore Satan's goal is to keep all men lost and saved people confused, not knowing the mystery of Christ committed to our Apostle Paul!

Satan will use any means to keep a person lost, whether it is one extreme, religion (both Christian religion/Judaism for Israeli's/Islam for Muslims/Catholicism, etc.), or the other extreme...the lasciviousness of the carnal/natural flesh, to keep men lost.

2 Corinthians 4:3-5
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

Therefore he does not need to focus on (and as a result, battle against) any particular ethnic/religious group like unbelieving Israel, because as ‘god of this world,’ he already has the whole earth's system tailored to keep all men lost, and saved men confused.

The only thing that can stop Satan is the proclamation of Paul's gospel...the gospel of the grace of God, that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And once a person believes that, in order that that person grows up in Christ, he needs to know the mystery of Christ from God's Word rightly divided.  Consequently, Satan confuses that as well, by mixing law (the prophecy program for Israel) and grace (the mystery program for the Church, the Body of Christ).

It is this heavenly message given to Paul that Satan sets his sights on to stop today, and puts all his energies into hindering.  This is the only front that he fights on today.

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Satan already knows that unbelieving Israel has been in his hand since even before the Lord Jesus walked the earth, and especially since they rejected Paul's preaching of Christ almost 2,000 years ago. So, it is their own unbelief about the Lord Jesus Christ that is keeping them lost and in the dark.

Hopefully this helps!
