What does our soul look like?
Although the bible does not come out and directly state it, one can make a very educated guess and speculate about what our soul looks like.
When the Apostle Paul was stoned to death and he went to heaven, he did not know whether or not he was in his body. That was most likely because we have the exact same members in our souls as we do in our physical bodies. We also see that in the account that the Lord tells His disciples about hell in Luke chapter 16.
2 Corinthians 12:2-4
I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell ; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell : God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unsapeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

When you do the math (and you can see it in a Scofield Reference Bible with dates on the top of page), that an event happened in Paul's life 15 years earlier where he was stoned to death, but God gave him life again.
Acts 14:19-20
And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
We also know for sure from scripture that Paul died because every occurrence of stoning in the bible was unto death...no one ever survived and they did not stop stoning until the person was dead (take a concordance and check for yourself).
Anyway, I believe that when Paul was stoned in Acts 14 that he did go to heaven and although his physical body was still on the earth, while looking at his soul he could not tell the difference. Also, the "unspeakable words" that he heard were the "tongues of angels" (i.e., 'language' of angels) that he speaks about in 1 Corinthians 13, and that are "unlawful" for a man to utter (angels speak to men in men's tongues and to each other in their own language).
1 Corinthians 13:1
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
One more reference to a soul being shaped like our bodies...
Luke 16:19-26
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried [his soul] by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried [his body]; And in hell he lift up his eyes [of his soul], being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

So we see that although people's souls are separated from their bodies at death, they still have body parts that are just like their physical bodies.
Hopefully this helps!
