Promises of God

Didn’t God give us promises in his word for us to claim and hang on to!?

I don't know of any verses in Paul's epistles where God has promised us physical blessings.

But, God has promised spiritual blessings!

Ephesians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world…

I'm not saying that he does not give them to us, because Paul says that he gives us food and raiment, and to be therewith content.

1 Timothy 6:8

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Read 2 Corinthians chapters 11 and 12, and see how much physical affliction the Apostle Paul went through.

If we are to expect physical blessings, like those he promised Israel, why did not God deliver Paul?
