How close we are we to the rapture? We’re one day closer. J The rapture could
happen at any moment; it is imminent.
The apostle Paul thought it would happen in his day.
1
Thessalonians 4:15
For this we say unto you
by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the
coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1
Corinthians 15:51
Behold, I shew you a
mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
Paul
would have never guessed that it would be 2,000 years, because he didn’t know
how many it would take for the fullness of the gentiles to be come in.
Romans
11:25
For I would not,
brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in
your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the
fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Only
God knows that. So how close are we to
the catching away? Obviously, if Paul
expected it to happen in his day, we are very close—much closer than in Paul’s
day. It could be today; it could be 100
years from now.
I
think that God is on a 7,000-year schedule that he established in Genesis with
the seven days of creation, with the seventh day being the Sabbath rest – the
Kingdom rest for the earth.
Genesis
2:3
And God blessed the
seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his
work which God created and made.
Hebrews
4:10
For he that is entered
into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Six thousand years of human history
and one thousand years of rest.
2 Peter
3:8
But, beloved, be not
ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand
years, and a thousand years as one day.
To
be continued…
