What are your thoughts on how close we
are to the catching away? Is there any
scripture that clues us in as to when that event will occur? I’m ready to go home!
That
is two different issues. Praise the Lord
that you’re ready to go home and see the Lord.
I have dealt with saints who, as they see the world getting worse and
worse, are setting their attention where Paul say we should not – the things of
this earth. Rather...
Colossians
3:2
Set your affection on
things above, not on things on the earth.
If
you are ready to go home because you’re tired of this world, that is okay; but
if you’re ready to go home because you’re discouraged because of the things
happening in the world and you’re worn out and faint because of the things of
this world, then you need some spiritual comfort.

Corinthians 4:1
Therefore seeing we have
this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
The
mindset of Christ is that we redeem the time.
Ephesians
5:16
Redeeming the time,
because the days are evil.
We
want to take advantage of all the time we have here because we understand what
the Father is doing.

Corinthians 5:8-9
We are confident, I say,
and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether
present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
God left us here so that all men
could be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy
2:4
Who will have all men to
be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
He left us here so that we could go
through the curriculum that our Father has given us as sons; and, that is to
build up the doctrine within us, aka, a work
of faith…
Philippians
2:15
That ye may be blameless
and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked
and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Colossians
2:7
Rooted and built up in
him,
and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein
with thanksgiving.
2 Timothy
3:10
But thou hast fully known
my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity,
patience,
…and also to do a labour of love to see other people saved
and come unto the knowledge of the truth…
1
Thessalonians 1:3
Remembering without
ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in
our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
...and to suffer with and for Christ
so that we receive a full reward.
Romans
8:17
And if children, then
heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer
with him, that we may be also glorified together.
1 Corinthians
3:14
If any man's work abide
which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
When
we talk about the rapture – looking for that blessed hope…
Titus 2:13
Looking for that blessed
hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour
Jesus Christ;
...it
is not just so that the Lord can come and deliver us from this present evil world. That is good, but there is something more
there. What is associated with the
rapture/catching away/resurrection is the glory – the judgment seat of Christ.
Romans
8:18
For I reckon that the
sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory
which shall be revealed in us.
