In
Paul’s thinking, the rapture and the judgment seat of Christ are synonymous. You are not ready for the judgment seat of
Christ if you are new to Pauline doctrine [the revelation of the mystery]. You want to continue to be built up by the
word of his grace.
Acts 20:32
And now, brethren, I
commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you
up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
You’re not ready yet; you’re not
perfected yet.
2
Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brethren,
farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace;
and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Ephesians
4:12-13
For the perfecting of
the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of
Christ: Till
we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man, unto
the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Colossians
1:28
Whom we preach, warning
every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every
man perfect in Christ Jesus:
You haven’t attained.
Philippians
3:12
Not as though I had
already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if
that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
You want to be qualified at the
judgment seat of Christ.
2
Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear
before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the
things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or
bad.
You want to be a faithful servant in
the truth.
1
Corinthians 4:1-2
Let a man so account of
us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that
a man be found faithful.
You want to have the mind of Christ.
1
Corinthians 2:16
For who hath known the
mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
Use the time to build up the doctrine.
1 Timothy
4:13, 16
Till I come, give
attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine;
continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that
hear thee.
