Gentiles and the four gospels

What do the four gospels have to do with the gentile? What meaning does it have for them?

It depends on which dispensation the gentile is living in when they read it.

For example, if you and I as gentiles, were reading it today in the present dispensation of the grace of God, when we read it, we are to see it the way God—thru Paul—tells us to see it.

Romans 11:13
For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

We gentiles today are to see all of God's word rightly divided; that is, from the perspective our Apostle Paul shows us.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We are to understand every book of the Bible by first listening to Paul!

2 Timothy 2:7
Consider what I [Paul] say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

So how does God Himself want us gentiles today to see it? What does God, thru Paul say the meaning is for us gentiles today?

God says that when we gentiles read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, we are to read it to remembering who we used to be in the world before the dispensation of the grace of God—without God!

Ephesians 2:11-12
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

To understand your Bible, Paul say that we gentiles today need to remember that in time past (the time where God was dealing with the circumcision, the people of the Nation of Israel), we gentiles had no claim on God or Christ!

That is why the Lord Jesus totally ignored that gentile woman in Matthew 15 when she begged him for His healing! That is also why he kept repeating that he is only sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel!

Matthew 15:22-24
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David…But he answered her not a word. … But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

So when we read those four books, we see how far we have come in the plan and purpose of God—praise the Lord Jesus, Amen!

Now, those books also had a meaning to those gentiles back there in time past (and also will again in the ages to come after our Rapture).

The purpose of those books to gentiles in other dispensations is to explain to them the place and purpose of the nation of Israel in God's plan to redeem the earth out of Satan's hand, back to himself thru Jesus and Israel! Those books present God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ as the Messiah King!

When a gentile reads those books, they would then know that they better go find an Israelite and have that Israelite lead them to the Messiah!

Remember, according to the Abrahamic Covenant that God gave and made with Israel's fathers (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob), not only would that nation be blessed, but God also promised to bless ALL nations thru them!

Genesis 12:1-3
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them [gentiles] that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Zechariah 8:23
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations [gentiles], even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

Isaiah 2:1-4
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 And he shall judge among the nations [gentiles], and shall rebuke many people:

Isaiah 60:3
And the Gentiles [nations] shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Remember, the mystery of Christ given to us gentiles by God thru Paul is not that God would save us gentiles who trust Him; rather the Mystery reveals how and when He would do it.

According to God's prophetic program with the nation of Israel, once Israel received their Messiah King and his kingdom, then they as a nation/kingdom would then extend that blessing out to the gentiles.

That is what both Paul and the Lord Jesus say:

Romans 15:8-12
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision [Israel] for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people [Israel]. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he [the Lord Jesus Christ] that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Matthew 25:31-34
When the Son of man shall come in his glory[Christ at His 2nd Coming], and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne [in the New Jerusalem] of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations [gentiles]: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

But, that is the meaning of those gospels for the gentile before Paul and after we go to heaven in the rapture, which ends this present dispensation of Grace!

Today, we gentiles get salvation thru our Lord Jesus Christ, not thru Israel; but solely by His pure grace given to us in Paul's gospel of Christ.

Romans 11:11
I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Romans 15:15-16
Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Romans 3:21-24
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 1:6-7
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Hopefully this helps!
