Abraham's blessing and inheritance

Is the blessing of Abraham God's righteousness?  And, what is this inheritance?  Righteousness?

Galatians 3:14-18
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.  Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.  Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.  And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.  For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

The blessing of Abraham in Gal 3:14 is right there in the verse, the promise of the Spirit of God. God has promised, through His covenants with them, that He will one day in the future give Abraham and all his seed (believing Israel) His Holy Spirit—but we today get it now!

At the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to set up His kingdom here on earth, he will bring Abraham's soul (and the souls of all the other old testament saints) with Him. But in order for them to be resurrected and live forever in that kingdom, He must give them eternal life, and that is why He must give them His Spirit, because it is His Spirit which giveth life.

Job 33:4
The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

2 Corinthians 3:6
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Galatians 6:8
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Revelation 11:11
And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

God has promised in His Word to give the eternal life to anyone that obeys Him, whether in the faith plus works-based time past and future programs with Israel, or the faith-alone based program with us today.

Romans 2:6-7
Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Romans 4:4-5
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.  But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

The way that He gives them eternal life is by declaring them righteous and then giving them His Spirit. Once a person does what God tells them to do (work or work not), they will be declared righteous by Him, and He will give them His Spirit.

Romans 8:10
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Ephesians 5:9
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

So the Blessing of Abraham includes righteousness, but it is mainly the Spirit of God which will allow them to live forever!
