...What is the inheritance, is it righteousness?

Yes, but that's not all!

God has already declared a person righteous, and has given them His Spirit before He gives them the inheritance. The inheritance, however, has to do with a place to live forever! That is the inheritance.

Paul, in Galatians, has one goal: to explain the difference between God's Law program and His Grace program—His earthly Prophecy program with Israel, and His heavenly Mystery program with us.

Simply put, the inheritance for Abraham and his seed in prophecy (Israel) in the earthly kingdom of Christ where they will live forever with Him is New Jerusalem.

Revelation 3:12; 21:2-3

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And His inheritance for us in the Body is Christ's kingdom in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 1:11, 14, 18

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 2:6

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Colossians 1:12

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Colossians 3:24

Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
