Now
is this dispensation of grace, God is not fulfilling prophecy; but the natural
course of sin is moving the world towards what God has planned for the end
times. What I look at is what Paul says
about the last days of grace:
2 Timothy 3:1-7
This
know also, that in the last days
Paul is talking about the last days of this dispensation of
grace
perilous
times shall come. For men
He is talking about the body of Christ in general, but men
in ministry in particular.
shall be lovers of their
own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, Without natural
affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of
those that are good,
Paul talks about all these things in Romans 1 regarding the
gentile heathens. The church will look
just like the world. We see that, don’t
we?
Traitors, heady,
highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
How many “believers” do you know who love pleasures more
than God? It’s sad to say, but I even know
dispensationalists who don’t really care.
They show up at church once in a while and then you don’t see them for
months. They go on vacation, to ball
games and soccer practice. They’re
lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.
Having a form of
godliness,
but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
They look like godly saints; they look religious, but they
deny that the preaching of the cross is the power of God (1 Cor. 1:18). They deny the truth.
For of this sort are they
which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away
with divers lusts, Ever learning, and
never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
So
how close are we to the rapture? Very
close, and we’re always one day closer than the last.
Hopefully this helps!
