Leviticus 17:11 KJB
And the life of the flesh is in the blood
People ask, why does God require a blood sacrifice? Because, already from the beginning, when he created
Adam and Adam’s blood flowed before he even fell, that life of his flesh was in his blood. And when Adam sinned, he died
spiritually and over a long process of 930 years, his body started to die
and decay. But, God redeemed their spirit and
soul by covering them, by killing an animal and giving them coats of skin.
What God was teaching them was to say:
'You see that blood? That blood was life, and that blood was shed for your sin. An innocent had to die for your guilt!'
And that all is a
picture of what Christ did for us—he shed his blood, his innocent blood so as to redeem us.
That is why God requires blood. But,
those other
bible versions take out reference to the blood.
Colossians 1:14 KJB
In whom we have redemption through his blood,
even the forgiveness of sins:
Why take out the blood? The
blood is the issue!
...you need to think
about that.
