When we know what the words in the King James Bible mean ACCORDING AS GOD HAS DEFINED THEM, that is when we can understand what God actually means to convey for our understanding and edification. Confusion occurs when we apply man's definitions, particularly according to the contemporary and cultural definitions of men who do not rightly divide.
We know from scripture that it is the Holy Ghost, Himself, that teaches the diligent student of the word by comparing the verses.
~ Which things also we speak, NOT IN THE WORDS which man's wisdom teacheth, but [the words of scripture] which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. [1 Corinthians 2:13 KJB]
