Unspeakable gift

What is the "unspeakable gift?"

The tongue talkers think that this has something to do with their "heavenly prayer language." But, it does not!

Let's look at the verse in context:

2 Corinthians 9:15
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Again, every verse has a context and here is the context of this verse:

2 Corinthians 9:12-15
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;  Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;  And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.  Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

The context of verse 15 has to do with grace giving...money!

The entire chapters of 8 and 9 are about saints giving to God's work both graciously, bountifully, and sacrificially!  Notice that Paul says in verse 12 that the money given was to "supply the want of the saints."

It was through this sacrificial giving that God provided for the "poor saints at Jerusalem."

Romans 15:25-28
But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.  For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.  It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.  When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

These were kingdom Messianic Jews who had "sold all" like Jesus told them because they would go into the earthly kingdom.

But when God changed the program and put that Jewish program on hold during the dispensation of grace, those saints needed help financially.

It was through these saved gentiles that God provided for those kingdom saints who were still alive when Paul wrote this book.

So when the gentiles gave money to help these poor Jewish saints, their generosity led to much prayer and thanksgiving to God which also redounded to His glory!!!

Paul says that the Jews glorified God for his grace working so powerfully in and through those gentiles as they submitted to his will in the grace message by giving money!

Their motivation was God giving his own Son for them!

2 Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Apparently, these gentiles gave so much money that the Jews were shocked, surprised and taken aback, and that is why Paul calls it "God's unspeakable gift"

Giants...before and after

In one of your messages you linked Goliath to the giants coming from Genesis 6.  Would you mind clarifying that for me?  How, then, could giants be in the earth once again?  Unless, was one of Noah's daughters-in-law were of the giant lineage?

It is true that once the flood came and went, Noah and his sons (and the four wives) were the only ones left on earth.  However, I do not think that these giants came through Noah's daughters-in-law. I believe that all 8 souls on the ark were pure human beings (God would not use any of that giant seedline to re-populate the earth).

So what is the answer then? The answer is that Satan convinced other of his fallen angels to do the same thing again after the flood!

Let's look at that verse in Genesis 6:

Genesis 6:4
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The first thing that I want you to notice is how God says that there were not only giants in the earth in those days (before the flood), but notice how He says "and also after that"!

It's the "and also after that" that makes me believe that Satan convinced more of his angels to do after the flood, what he had convinced many of them to do before the flood, that is, pro-create with human women!

I believe that when God says "and also after that", He means that even after the flood and the re-population of the earth through Noah's sons, that sometime after the flood, Satan convinced some of his angels to try again to contaminate the seedline of the "seed of the woman" from Genesis 3:15.

Obviously Satan is a very good deceiver and very wise and able to convince even angels to continue to rebel against God. (Notice that even thousands of years later during the Lord's earthly ministry, Satan was STILL able to talk his angels into fighting against what God was doing in the earth by possessing the people of Israel....even though they knew that God would destroy them)!

Matthew 8:28-29
And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.  And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Notice here that these fallen angels of Satan knew that someday Christ would torment them (Lake of fire) and they knew the time also (Great White Throne Judgment), yet they still kept trying to fight against God's purposes. So, I have NO doubt that a few thousand years before that, it was pretty easy for Satan to convince them to try to corrupt the seedline again with another try at impregnating human women AFTER the flood and creating this new race of giants.

So although I don't think that this tainted genetics was in Noah, his wife nor any of his sons or daughters in-law, I do believe that after they came off the ark and men began to multiply upon the face of all the earth, that Satan tried again to corrupt the seedline. However, this time he could not do it fast enough (remember Noah and his sons were believers, and it took time for the new people on earth to "fall away" from the knowledge of God that Noah passed on, and that eventually happened later in Genesis 10).

So whereas Satan could do it successfully the first time, he could not the second time. So by the time of Nimrod (who I also believe was one of these genetic freak giants) in chapter 11 of Genesis...God chose out a pure man Abram from amongst the contaminated gentiles and the rest is history!

Genesis 10:8-9
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

Notice how the word "mighty" is associated with Nimrod...he was a man of reknown in antiquity, and I believe was an offspring of those fallen angels and part of that "and also after that" contamination.

Genesis 6:4
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Therefore, Satan was only able to contaminate the gentiles who were willingly possessed (because devil possession takes the human to be willing), yet Abraham's seed was not willing because they trusted the God of their father Abraham!

So now let's look again at the passage.

Genesis 6:4
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Notice also how the result of these strange sexual relations was what the bible called "giants." Giants are the result of the relations of human women and fallen angels in the bible. Giants in the bible are also evil in the eyes of God!

Now look at all the following verses about giants in the bible after the flood. It is very convincing proof to me that what those fallen angels did BEFORE the flood, they also did after the flood!

Numbers 13:33
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Deuteronomy 2:11, 20
Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.

(That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;

Deuteronomy 3:11, 13
For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.

Joshua 12:4; 13:12; 15:8; 17:15; 18:16
4 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.

And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:

And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.

And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to Enrogel,

2 Samuel 21:16, 18, 20, 22
16 And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.

And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.

And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

1 Chronicles 20:4, 6, 8
And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.

And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant.

These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

So it is all these verses which are overwhelming proof to me that when God says "and also after that" in Genesis 6, that Satan tried the exact same thing that he tried before the flood.

And because these giants were used by Satan to attack Israel, and Goliath is the most famous giant of them all in scripture and a picture of all of Israel's enemies throughout time, I have no doubt in my mind that Goliath was one of the seedline of these relationships between human women and angels after the flood.

(By the way, people sometime complain against God because he had the armies of Israel to exterminate entire populations of gentiles, both man, woman and children. And people get all mad at God. But I have no doubt that the reason that God had Israel do this is because those gentiles—who were squatters and usurpers in Israel's Promised Land—were of the genetic seed of these giants.  And, God wanted them destroyed! Another reason why God forbade Israel to have marriages with these gentiles around them)!

Therefore, Satan used the sons of these fallen angels and those generations after that had the giants ‘blood to withstand Israel. Goliath was one of them!

Hopefully this helps!

G.A. Riplinger

There are so many attacks on G. A. Riplinger, personally, and her books.  Yet her books appear to be very believable and have much documentation. What do you know about this if anything? Her Book, New Age Bible Versions has convinced me and I believe the KJV to be correct.  But now I’m feeling a sense of frustration about the whole subject.

Yes, there are many attacks on this dear sister who has devoted her life on standing for the Truth of God's Word in our Authorized Versions. I would to God that more saints would stand as tough as she.

But no marvel! Satan has been attacking God's truth by trying to cast doubt (on inspiration and preservation, like the newer versions do today) from the beginning!

Genesis 3:1, 4
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said...

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

The goal is to knock down our Lord Jesus Christ from His rightful position of glory!

Psalm 62:4
They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

As far as what the gainsayers say...it is a bunch of people (some who are unsaved), and most who do not have a right to question things because they do not rightly divided God's Word, thereby are handling it deceitfully!

The fact of the inerrancy of the version of the bible that you trust is an issue of faith!

Fact is, either God gave us His Word perfectly and preserved it until our day, or He did not!

If He did, where is it in our language...the KJV? The NIV? Any other version? And if He did not, then He lied because He is eternal, and He said His Word is eternal, and He also said that He would preserve it!

So don't stress out or be frustrated about this.  If you believe God can and did preserve His Word perfectly for you, then you have it in that KJV. (if you study it out).

By the way, if we all will stand before God (and, we will!) and give an account of our lives like Paul said. And when we do, He will open up His word (I bet the Word that He opens up in Heaven to judge us all won't have errors!), and judge us out of it, and how we lived in it, then how could He be righteous to judge us if we did not have it perfectly!

If we are to live our life by it to the point that He judges us when we get to Heaven, is it not reasonable that we should have the exact same Words that He will use to judge us...just to be fair?!

Is it reasonable to believe that God has a perfect copy, but we don't, and yet He will hold us accountable to His perfect copy while we have errors! Non-sense to those fools who question whether we have God's Word perfectly in our language today! They think that they are wiser than God!

Romans 1:22
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools

1 Corinthians 1:19-21
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

If we don't have God's Word perfectly, then how can we know whether the gospel is really true?

If one part of the bible is error, would not that preclude that all of it is error as God can not lie!

Who gets to pick and choose which passages are right, and which ones are wrong? And what makes them qualified? Are they scholars? God's words looks down on scholars!!

Malachi 2:12
The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.

No, God loves humble people who believe His Word and who believe that they can and do have it perfectly!

Here's God's promise...He magnifies His word above even Himself, and He preserves it!

Psalm 138:2; 12:6-7; 119:160
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

1 Peter 1:25
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

This is what I believe and trust, and every man must make that decision because God will judge all of us by His Word!

Romans 2:16
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Take courage.  Pray, and rest in that KJV. You will not regret it and you will be blessed!

Sabbath and the New Covenant

Are all Christians  under the new covenant  to follow the Sabbath command and was the Sabbath observed  before  Moses by  the gentiles?

The bible never says that Christians today are under the "new covenant," because Christians today—those who have trusted and saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ—are saved by God's Pure Grace, and that alone!

Romans 3:24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

ALL the covenants in scripture are for the Nation of Israel only!

Jeremiah 31:31
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Romans 9:4; 11:26-27
Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:  For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

So members of the church, the Body of Christ are not under the New Covenant.  God made it to and for Israel only!

As for your question about the Sabbath, the Sabbath also is not for us living today in the Mystery dispensation of Grace, it is only for Israel and will be re-establish by God for them in the future!

Exodus 31:16-17
Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

God gave it to Israel only! And God tells us today through our Apostle Paul that we do not need to observe Israel's Sabbath!

Colossians 2:16-17
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Those of us in Christ today do not need any of these things from Israel's Law program in order to be complete! As you just read, Paul our Apostle says that all those things...even the Sabbath are just a shadow of the true, and we have the true...the Lord Jesus Christ! So we are not required to keep any Sabbath or any other ordinance of the Law.

+++

Regarding your question as to whether or not the Sabbath was observed before Moses by Gentiles, no, there is no evidence in scripture of that!

What to do with false brethren

I’ve listened to many preachers on the radio and most preach the gospel of the kingdom.  There was one preaching and teaching from epistles of Paul, and even rightly dividing.  But, at the end, he goes to Romans 10 and tells people to pray, confess and ask the Lord to come into their hearts.  It appears even now that Satan is working in those that teach and preach the grace message!  How can we call these that preach ‘Another’ gospel [2 Corinthians 11:4; Galatians 1:6-7] ‘brethren’ when they aren’t!?

First off, we cannot be sure that this man is not saved (nor can we be sure that he is saved). No one knows for sure who is saved or not but God! So we can't make statements like whether or not he is saved.

All we can do is judge what he says that he is trusting for his salvation! And that if he trusts for his salvation what he is now preaching to others to be saved, then he is not saved. But we don't know for sure whether or not he trusted the shed blood of Christ for his sins in time past, and had a clear testimony of salvation, and of the gospel, yet overtime lost the clarity of it by adding works.

As it stands now, this man could still be saved, yet has gotten away from the clarity of the Gospel of Grace, and so he will not be able to help others get saved. But he himself may be saved, and if he is, God accepts him, and he is our brother, and we MUST deal with him in in the right spirit of love!

2 Timothy 2:13
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Galatians 6:1-2
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.  Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:14-15
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

2 Timothy 2:24-26
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Personally, I would assume that he is saved because he seems to understand the Pauline grace message, and this is a message that is spiritually discerned....in other words it takes the Spirit of God in a man to grasp it.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

So assuming that he is saved, then if you chose to deal with him on this subject, then it must be with a gentle, mild spirit because Paul says that you could also fall into error yourself!

Lastly, it is not our jobs to go around looking for men who do not teach and preach properly...that's God's job, and He will judge us all at the Judgment Seat of Christ. If we spent all of our time trying to deal with people in error, we would not have time to edify ourselves and others in the truth! You will never find two grace preachers who believe 100% exactly the same, especially on the "non-essential" things. And although the clarity of the gospel of grace is very essential, how we deal with a brother is also essential to God!

So pray for that man, but spend your time growing in the truth and sharing it with others who want it! Believe me, I don't have the time to deal with everyone who wants to argue, deny, and reject this truth because I have too many people who actually want it and I spend my time dealing with them!

I would commend that to you as well brother. Spend your time growing in His Word rightly divided and sharing it with others who have not heard! God is not going to judge us on how many men we "set straight." He will judge us on how we loved and treated them, and if we used the spirit of grace as we attempt to correct our brother's error!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth  not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Angels: Sons of God

What do you believe regarding who "the sons of God" in Genesis 6 are?

Genesis 6:1-5
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

In my study of this passage, as well as, many other scriptures over the years, I see that "the sons of God" in Genesis are angels, particularly Satan's fallen angels. Here's why.

The context
The chapter starts off by letting us know that men, i.e., human beings like you and I, were beginning to multiply (or increase suddenly) back early in creation. And these human men were fathering daughters, or human girls.

Suddenly, there is another group of people introduced to us called "the sons of God," and these sons of God, saw the daughters of men, and thought they were beautiful and made them their wives.

Now if these sons of God were human, it would be quite unusual to say that they saw the daughters of men. Even more to the point, the text actually distinguishes the "sons of God" from "men."

When these sons of God conceived children with these daughters of men, the resultant offspring were called "giants," an obvious reference to some type of being that was more than the size of a normal, average man.

Before the Flood, both God himself, and Satan, as well as all the angels, both fallen and elect, personally intermingled in the affairs of mankind in that day. God's presence was still down here on earth, and so were the angels.

Psalm 68:17
The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place

Genesis 3:1
Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Here we see that Satan spoke directly to Eve.

Genesis 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

She knew what these gods (the angels) were and what they looked like, and what they could do because they lived around her.

Genesis 3:24
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

God was still here on earth, and mankind met him right where his cherubim were.

Genesis 4:3
And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

God was right here on earth.

Genesis 4:6a, 9a, 14
And the LORD said unto Cain…

And the LORD said unto Cain…

Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Cain saw God face to face!

God did not leave the earth until after he shut Noah into the ark...but before that, he dwelt alongside mankind! And where God is, so are the angels.

Genesis 6:3; 7:16
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

There are other times that the angels are called "the sons of God"...

Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Lastly, I believe that these sons of God back in Genesis 6 were angels because when the bible wants you to know that it is talking about human beings, it uses the term "sons (or daughters) of men."

Psalm 33:13
The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

Proverbs 8:4
Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man

Ecclesiastes 8:11
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

By the way, once the rapture takes place, and God begins his prophetic program in the earth with Israel, angels will again be made manifest visually to mankind.

Hebrews 13:2
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
